Cookie Policy

The short version
Menujo sets one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in, and it is only set after you sign in. We run no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party marketing pixels. Menu pages that your diners open set no cookies at all.
What we actually set
Session cookie (essential)
When you sign in, we store a session token in a secure, HTTP-only cookie so that you stay signed in between pages. Without it you could not use an account. It is removed when you sign out or when the session expires.
Nothing else
We do not set functional, analytics, or marketing cookies. Two things you might expect to be cookies are stored in your browser local storage instead, which means they never travel to our servers with your requests:
- Your cookie banner choice, so we do not ask again on every visit.
- Referral and campaign parameters from a link you arrived through, kept briefly so that a signup can be attributed to the right source.
Analytics
Menujo does not currently load Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics script on its marketing pages. The integration exists in the code but ships nothing unless it is switched on, and if it ever is, it will load only after a visitor in a consent region has accepted. This policy will be updated before that happens rather than after.
The menu analytics you see in your dashboard as a menu owner are counted on our servers from page requests, not from cookies in your diners browsers. See the Privacy Policy for what those records contain and how long we keep them.
Third-party cookies
Two providers may set their own cookies on their own pages during specific actions:
- Google and Apple, when you choose to sign in with them, for authentication and security on their side.
- Stripe, when you go through checkout, for fraud prevention and secure payment. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.
We do not control those cookies. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply.
The consent banner
Visitors in regions that require a cookie banner see one on our marketing pages. Because the only cookie we set is the essential session cookie, declining does not reduce what we collect today; it records your preference in case that ever changes. The banner never appears on a published menu page, since those set no cookies at all.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Cookies and site data
Blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in to Menujo. Everything else on the site, including any published menu, works with cookies fully blocked.

If we start setting a cookie that is not listed here, we will update this page and the date at the top before doing so.
