The short version

Menujo sets an essential session cookie after sign-in. Optional Microsoft Clarity may set analytics cookies on eligible public pages when enabled and allowed by your choice where consent is required. Published diner menu pages remain outside Clarity. We do not run advertising or marketing pixels.

What we actually set

Session cookie (essential)

When you sign in, we store a session token in a secure, HTTP-only cookie so that you stay signed in between pages. Without it you could not use an account. It is removed when you sign out or when the session expires.

Browser storage and optional analytics

We do not set marketing cookies. Two preferences are stored in your browser local storage rather than in a Menujo cookie:

  • Your cookie banner choice, so we do not ask again on every visit.
  • Referral and campaign parameters from a link you arrived through, kept briefly so that a signup can be attributed to the right source.

Analytics

Menujo does not currently load Google Analytics. When Microsoft Clarity is enabled and allowed by the applicable consent choice, it helps us understand eligible public pages through heatmaps and session replay.

Menu analytics use first-party requests after a menu page becomes visible, or a small image request when JavaScript is disabled. These requests do not set a dedicated analytics cookie in your diners' browsers. See the Privacy Policy for what those records contain and how long we keep them.

When enabled and allowed by the applicable consent choice, Microsoft Clarity may set first-party cookies such as _clck and _clsk, and third-party Microsoft cookies, to connect eligible public-page visits for heatmaps and session replay. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Clarity requires an affirmative optional-analytics choice before it loads. Declining optional analytics keeps Clarity off. Third-party cookies

Other providers may set cookies on their own pages during specific actions:

  • Google and Apple, when you choose to sign in with them, for authentication and security on their side.
  • Stripe, when you go through checkout, for fraud prevention and secure payment. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe.

We do not control those cookies. Their own privacy and cookie policies apply.

The consent banner

Visitors in regions that require a cookie banner can accept or decline optional analytics on eligible public pages. Declining keeps Clarity off without affecting account or diner-menu access. Published diner menu pages are excluded from Clarity and do not show this banner.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Cookies and site data

Blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in to Menujo. Everything else on the site, including any published menu, works with cookies fully blocked.

If we start setting a cookie that is not listed here, we will update this page and the date at the top before doing so.
